Negotiation is a simple word with broad meaning and understanding. We all know that negotiation is not an easy task to do. It has to be practiced and developed. No one can easily adapt the environment of negotiation without deeply knowing it by heart and by mind. We are also aware that negotiation plays a big role in the lives of people especially to professionals and entrepreneurs. They might think that it is not a big deal, but for some it is. It is important because we actually use negotiation to survive in different situation in our own career. We also take for granted the skill of negotiation to be able to make for a living. The movie â€Å"The Negotiator† is an example of a great negotiation skill. It exemplifies different techniques or tactics while negotiating. Although the movie is about hostage taking, it is still a form of negotiation and it is a good way to have a different perspective on negotiation. It shows in the movie that negotiators asked questions that were open ended so that the attention of the hostage take will be disturbed and there’s a great possibility that the situation will end peacefully. Next technique is ensuring the safety of the hostages in the situation. We see in the movie that the negotiator do what it takes to do in order save the hostages. They try to grant the requests of the hostage taker no matter what it takes. Although in the movie, there was a scene were the hostages were not released at the same time. The negotiator should prioritize giving medical treatment or release for injured hostages, provide food and water, and negotiating the release of as many hostages as possible. Next technique is keeping calm. All authorities involve in the situation should keep calm and follow orders only to the assigned negotiator so that there would be no unwanted outcome. The negotiator should never argue with the hostage taker and never say no to a request. Always think positive and use delaying tactics or make a counter-offer. In conclusion, there are different uses of negotiation in the lives of people. We see the value and importance of negotiation in the movie and that negotiation can save a life. We also see how difficult to negotiate is, which proves that negotiation is not an easy task and that it has to be learned, practiced, and developed. Do not expect to have negotiation skills without deeply understanding the essence and meaning of it. There are different ways in learning negotiation but remember that the best way to learn it is to have as many experiences as possible so that you will learn from the reality of life and negotiation.

In Stanley Milgram’s article, â€Å"The Perils of Obedience,† he discusses several similar experiments he conducted studying the human resistance to pressure and obedience. Contrasting his thoughts Diana Baumrind in her article, â€Å"Review of Stanley Milgram’s Experiments on Obedience,† critiques the comments of Stanley Milgram and his experiments. Milgram found that people would obey with the right situations, the right pressures and if they could pass off the blame to someone else. Baumrind contradicts Milgrams views on how he did things. Milgrams experiment was to see how far a person would go in hurting another human being. One man was brought in at random (the teacher) and another a person in on the experiment (the learner). The teacher was shown the student being strapped in to be electrocuted if he got something wrong. The teacher was informed on how to administer the tests and informed through out to continue the experiment no matter what. His first conclusions on the experiment were that in the right situations you could get most people to obey what they were told to do. The fact that the teacher had no previous or future connections with the learner was a good way of getting them to continue. Milgram compared the teacher to experimenter relationship to the relationship to Hitler and his soldiers. They listened because they new they had to or there would be consequences. The final way Milgram got people to listen and not worry about the consequences was allow them to think they could pass off the blame onto the experimenter and not have to take any responsibility. Milgram made the teacher think this way by telling them that the experimenter would take all the blame, and after the experiment was over the teacher was informed of everything. Inflation is the persistent rise in price in an economy over a long period of time, there are two forms of inflation which include cost push inflation and demand pull inflation. Demand pull inflation is as a result of increased demand that exceeds the supply level, when demand increases and supply remains constant then price of the good rises and this is what refered to as demand pull inflation. Cost push inflation results from a number of interactions in the economy, this type of inflation is related to wage rates and the increased cost of production which results into an increase in price of goods. In an economy cost push inflation occurs where workers demand for higher wage rates, when wage rates are increased the cost of production increases. When the cost of production increases then the price of goods increase leading to inflation. When the price of goods increase consumers who are the workers experience a reduction in their real income and therefore demand for higher pay and the cycle continues, however there are other factors that may lead to inflation example increased money supply, increased government expenditure and reduced borrowing rates, inflation can therefore be reduced by reducing government expenditure, reducing money supply and increasing borrowing rates or interest rates.
